I saw this huge list of Live CDs on Digg and found it to be interesting. I think it covers all the live CDs one can know.
Slax tops the list on the most popular(votes) and my favourite - Knoppix is at place 4 and Ubuntu is at 8.
Jon from New Linux User has started a new
Free Software magazine staff launched FSDaily.com which gives daily news about free softwares. They introduced their blog at their website, but weren’t happy with it. So they have launched a seperate site Free Software Daily which is a lot like a news blog written by the authors of Free Software Magazine.
People are now providing free remote KDE desktops via NX. I think this is a really cool idea by CosmoPOD, where they provide

This is a real boon to people who frequently travel and have access only to a computer with internet connection and are unable to install their favourite operating system.
